Official Song - Archery Indoor World Championships 2009

The Official Song for Indoor World Championships 2009 - Rzeszow (Poland)

The first major archery event of the year in Rzeszow

After the true excitement of the Beijing Olympic Games and the World Cup Final 2008 in Lausanne, the top archers in the world did not rest much competing in the indoor season. They now meet in Rzeszow (POL) for the Indoor World Championships 2009 on 4-8 March.
These indoor world championships conclude a winter season that already saw some important tournaments in Nimes (FRA), Las Vegas (USA) and Amsterdam (NED), among others. There were enough chances for the countries to select their top archers or to see some new forces in the game. The participants list in Rzeszow shows a rare combination of experienced athletes and young talents—including juniors who will also have their world championships in Rzeszow.

Success for the year’s 1st Asian Grand Prix 2009, Bangkok

- News from www.archery.org
The 1st Asian Grand Prix 2009 in Bangkok (THA) was a tremendous success. Well organised under the leadership of Mr Sanguan KOSAVINTA, FITA Vice President and National Archery Association of Thailand’s President, the first major event of the year has shown many young archers coming up. Not only were the participants very young, but they also showed that the level in Asia is growing. Many new countries are now showing consistent performances and the level—especially in South-East Asia—is growing considerably. When we compare 2007 to 2009, we can see that despite the slightly lower number of archers—mainly due to visa issues for Iran—the level has gone up quite a bit:
